originally a 20th-century Edwardian, this artist’s home in australia is kinda ‘business in the front, party in the back’. it may look like a more like a charming, traditional edwardian from its exterior, but inside it’s unexpected and eclectic, and out back, well that’s where the party really gets started — it looks like an artist’s dream come true to me. i first saw this home on dwell’s instagram and just had to hop over to dwell to check it out in depth. the renovation took their fixer-upper from an ordinary suburban home and turned it into a modern mix that retains the period architecture and its detailed fireplaces, timber floors, and ornate ceilings but gives it a whole new exciting life. for the full tour, visit dwell magazine.
